Friday simultaneously felt like the most exhausting day and the most reenergizing day all at once. We started our day at the Village Grind, a coffee shop in West Greenville. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that didn't get anything. We sat and talked for a while taking in the environment before exploring the area for a little while. We found even more people telling us places we should go explore and try and a cute little plant shop where I was peer pressured (okay, not really, but I wasn't going to until another girl did) into buying another succulent.

After the Village Grind, we went to Bridge City Coffee where I got a homemade pop tart and an iced salted Carmel latte, both of which I highly recommend if you ever find yourself there. We sat and talked for a little while before heading to Methodical Coffee and the Landmark Project Flagship Store (for those keeping track: three coffee shops in three hours; five for the trip so far). We explored the small store and took in the atmosphere for a little while before heading over to another plant shop (no more succulents for me) where we found one of the sweetest dogs ever. We finished off the afternoon with lunch at the White Duck. It's a small taco restaurant in what looked like an old train depot. We all wanted to try are throwing at the place next door but didn't have the time. I felt adventurous and tried a duck taco which turned out being one of my best decisions of the trip.

At one, we had a workshop to attend and realized right after getting our food we had to leave in 10 minutes to get there so we scarfed down our tacos and jumped in the van. A few of us almost threw up but managed not to. Cody and Sara led the workshop which was also attended by students from Anderson University (not the Anderson in Indiana, the one in SC). We were paired up with one of those students and spent a good part of the workshop just getting to know one another which was a lot of fun despite my partner being a fan of that state the the north (Olivia, if you're reading this, I'm not sorry). The workshop was a lot of fun and really dug into designing from who you are not designing for who you are.

That evening we headed to McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture for the Design BBQ where we met up with some of the Anderson students and got to meet people from Techtronic Industries as well as a few amazing designers. We got to enjoy some good barbecue and make new friendships. It was a great event to end the day on. Friday left me even more in love with Greenville and not wanting to leave Saturday morning.
